Nautical Flags to Decorate Boat Show this year!
As you may already know, we are committed to keeping the Jacksonville International Boat Show a comfortable yet fresh and exciting experience for attendees. We accomplish this by basing each show on a theme. No customer will ever say “This is exactly like last year’s show.”
Our theme for this year’s event is “The History of Boating” with a focus on recreational boating in our region. The History of the First Coast and surrounding areas has a strong Nautical Heritage. The other advantage to this theme is that it should be easy to get the media excited about covering some of the aspects of this theme at the show. The History of Boating allows us to use the Nautical Flags so often associated with boating for the center piece of the shows décor.
What this means to you….
We would like to have you decorate your booth or display area including Marina slips with the History of Boating theme in mind, especially the use of Nautical Flags.
Incentive…..
We will be judging displays and awarding significant prizes. For the display that has the most impressive use of this theme. There will be three categories, Bulk Space, 10 x 10 Vendors, and Marina Slips with a prize awarded in each.
If you are aware of a vessel, person, or location with historical significant to the boating world that may be available for promotional purposes, such a display or editorial, please contact Event Director via email at mail@jaxboatshow.com.
URGENT
There are a couple of bulk vendors that have not secured their space with a deposit. This space will be offered for redistribution on the 15th of November, if the first right of refusal has not
been exercised. It is imperative that you fill out the Exhibitors contract and submit a deposit in order to hold your space. If you are interested in increasing the size of your current space, please contact us
on the 15th of November as we anticipate that there may be an opportunity.
Great News!
It appears that the dredging of the Marina at Metropolitan Park is schedule to begin in early March 2008. This is very important because it will accommodate the larger boats with more draft and allow the show to utilize the additional slip space that had become unusable in last years show. If you see City Dock Master Jim Suber, be sure to thank him for his efforts in this matter.
Promotional Boating Campaign Set to Launch
Enough talk it’s time for action. We have decided after watching and waiting for someone to promote the activity of boating, especially in this market. The time for action is NOW.
Watch for the up coming television campaign titled…..
“ONLY BY BOAT!”
We have made the decision to allocate a percentage of revenue from our involvement in the August show. This campaign is being financed and produced by the Jacksonville International Boat Show, Inc. with the sole intent to promote the activity of recreational boating in our market.
We anticipate that this campaign will launch predominantly as a series of television spots. This campaign will highlight various locations and experiences in this region that are available
“ONLY BY BOAT.”
More information on this exciting development go to www.onlybyboat.info on December 15th.
